The final seminar of Waterpraxis took place at the Amberton Hotel in Vilnius (Lithuania) on 11-12 January 2012. About 50 participants discussed about the experiences and results gathered in the 7 Baltic Sea partner countries within the project life time. Last Newsletter of Waterpraxis online!The Waterpraxis project is already in its last months. When the project started, the first River Basin Management Plans (RBMP) were under preparation. Implementation of these plans required by the EU Water Framework Directive is now underway in all Baltic countries. Project Partner Meeting in Warsaw
The project partners of Waterpraxis met for their last management group meeting in Warsaw to discuss the last upcoming outputs of the project as well as the final seminar, which will take place in Vilnius, Lithuania, in January 2012. After active discussions during the meeting, the partners are now back home and keep working hard to finalise the results of the project. The team of TU Lodz also invited Mr Janusz Ciesielski, head of Mniszkow commune, to take part in the meeting. Mr. Cielsielski is actively involved in the Polish project activities and thanked the project for its work. The conference was organized by the NABU (Naturschutzbund Deutschland e.V.) and supported by the WATERPRAXIS project. About 100 participants were informed about the implementation of the Water Framework Directive in the district of the river Alster, about the ecology, fauna and flora as well as ways how the open public can participate in renaturation activities.
