The project WATERPRAXIS "From theory and plans to eco-efficient and sustainable practices to improve the status of the Baltic Sea" aims to improve the status of the Baltic Sea by assisting the implementation of river basin management plans into practice in the region. WATERPRAXIS is partly funded by the Interreg IVB Baltic Sea Region Programme 2007-2013.











WATERPRAXIS partners met in Lodz for a 3-day meeting. On the first day management issues of the project were presented and discussed. During the second day the workpackage 4 and 5 meeting took place. Partners presented the work done so far and the results reached until now.
The course on utilizing economic analyses in water resource planning in Kaunas, Lithuania, brought together an international group of 33 participants. The course was organized by Kaunas University of Technology, Danish National Environmental Research Institute (NERI) and Finnish Environment Institute (SYKE).
On 12 January 2010 the first Waterpraxis steering group meeting was held in Kaunas, Lithuania. The work package leaders presented achievements of the 1st and 2nd project period and plans for further proceeding in the WP’s were discussed.
On 09th December, the specialist symposium on „Climate Change and Sustainable Water Management“ was held in Lyngby/Copenhagen as one of the many parallel events to the 15th United Nations Conference of the Parties (COP15).
